Basically, many of them are afraid of this sport yeah so if u r a master in it then u will be loving it.
 sport or activity of propelling oneself through water using the limbs is nothing but swimming.

I started learning how to swim when I was five years old and I have been swimming ever since. There are many reasons why I love swimming but I’ll just share a few with you, and maybe I can even encourage you to go for swimming.


There are basically four types of swimming strokes breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly. 

Each Stroke has its  different way of swimming 

 breaststroke

 Along with the newly emerging sidestroke, was used in the first modern swimming competitions in the 1830s. These competitions were held by the National Swimming Society.

The breaststroke is performed with the swimmer's chest facing the bottom of the pool and has very specific arm and leg movements. 

The leg movements involve pulling the knees to the chest, then kicking the legs back and straight, and finally bringing the legs together to propel the swimmer forward. This kind of swimming is known as frog kick. 

    As swimmers complete breaststrokes, they bob up and down as they cross the length of the pool.
 This game has a lot of History have been practiced as early as 2500 bce in Egypt and thereafter in Assyrian, Greek, and Roman civilizationsSwimming was first introduced at the Olympics in 1896.

Freestyle 

Freestyle is a core swimming stroke and is useful in swimming for fitness, swimming away from danger or performing rescues as it is one of the fastest strokes. Because of its speed, it is also used in aquatic sports such as water polo.In this style the swimmer can swim in any style and therefore other than the backbone style he can do swimming in a similar way.

Competition styles 

  • 50 m freestyle (50 yards for short time yards)
  • 100 m freestyle (100 yards for short time yards)
  • 200 m freestyle (200 yards for short time yards)
  • 400 m freestyle (500 yards for short time yards)
  • 800 m freestyle (1000 yards for short time yards)
  • 1500 m freestyle (1650 yards for short time yards)
  • 4×50 m freestyle relay (4 x 50 yards for short time yards)
  • 4 × 100 m freestyle relay (4 x 100 yards for short time yards)
  • 4 × 200 m freestyle relay (4 x 200 yards for short time yards)
So these are normally styles of swimming competition style.



Health benefits of swimming so there fore there are many health benefits such as 

keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body 

Builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness.

These also tone the muscles and build strength.

Swimming has many other benefits including:

  • being a relaxing and peaceful form of exercise
  • alleviating Stress.
  • improving coordination, balance, Posture
  • improving flexibility
  • providing good low-impact therapy for some injuries and conditions.
                          Butterfly style swimming 

 


In 1933, Henry Myers swam a butterfly stroke in a competition at Brooklyn Central YMCA. Basically, this style evolved from the breaststroke. 

David Armbruster, swimming coach at the University of Iowa, researched breaststroke.

One year later, in 1935, Jack Sieg, a swimmer also from the University of Iowa, developed a kick technique involving swimming on his side and beating his legs in unison, similar to a fishtail, and then modified the technique afterward to swim it face down.

He called this style Dolphin fishtail kick. The butterfly technique with the dolphin kick consists of synchronous arm movement with a synchronous leg kick. The push pushes the palm backward through the water underneath the body at the beginning and at the side of the body at the end of the push. The swimmer only pushes the arms 1/3 of the way to the hips, making it easier to enter into the recovery and making the recovery shorter, and making the breathing window shorter.
